ANIMAL WELFARE
Adopted the following definition - "Conduct detrimental to the Cat Fancy is any behavior that seriously and adversely impact the Cat, CFA, the Fancy or any individual, and concerns matters relating to Cats, CFA, or the Fancy. This behavior may consist of a single harmful act or a series of negative acts, which, when considered together, create a significant injurious effect on the Cat. CFA or the Cat Fancy."

REGIONAL QUALIFIERS are eliminated, effective for the 2005 International show. The dates are returned to the Regions, who may choose to hold a Regional show event, or to open the date to a club show.

INTERNATIONAL SHOW: Qualifier entries are, at this point, low. Contingency plans made in the event the International Show doesn't fill. The International Show committee anticipates that this year's International Show in Houston, TX will fill at the 1000-cat limit. Due to the many mitigating circumstances which impacted this year's qualifier shows, the CFA board has voted to open the entry for this year's show. Entries will be accepted and entered into the show as follows:
1) first consideration will be given to those cats that attend the regional qualifiers, including the show at Madison Square Garden, and actually qualify as per the previously published guidelines. In addition, those cats that are impacted by the recent national disasters have been allowed to merely enter their qualifiers, but do not necessarily need to attend the qualifier shows.
2) If the International Show does not fill it's 1000-cat limit by the closing date of November 3, we will open the show up to additional entries. Next in line will be those cats that entered and attended a qualifier but did not qualify.
3) If the show still has not reached the limit, next we will take the cats which entered a qualifier, but did not attend the show. Those entries will be taken up to the limit of the show.
All entries may be sent to the entry clerks immediately after the qualifier shows. The entry clerks will process both the qualified entries and the cats exempted due to the recent disasters (#1 above). The remaining entries (those in #''s 2 and 3 above) will be date stamped as received and if the show is not filled, those entries will be processed in order of receipt.
