Joel Chaney reported a correction of the November minutes. The Regional Fundraiser will be held in Niles, Ohio (not Bowling Green). The GLR Award show will be in Bowling Green, Ohio on June 11-12, 2005.


Treasurer’s Report

Chris Simpson provided a detailed report on the fundraising projects. The 2004 Regional Fundraiser was a success. Our gate was larger than expected. He explained the workings of the finance committee and how the accounting records would be maintained. The finance committee will require that budgets be developed for Regional events such as the Award show and Program and for the Fundraiser shows.


Report on the 2008 Annual (Run for the Roses)

There was a short discussion of the delegate bags. Beth Cassely indicated that in 2003 the Midwest Region had 550-600 delegate bags.


Scheduling

Sandi Douglas should be notified at least 6 months in advance on any new show requests or of any requested change in show date.


Fund Raising

Toys for Rosettes Raffle.
Nancy Grandison is contacting all of the CFA Club secretaries in the US and Canada. Ticket sales are slow. The raffle has been opened up to individuals. Individuals can purchase tickets on behalf of a club.

ACE 50-50 raffle. - Carolyn Haydu
The ACE 50-50 raffle has been very successful. The treasurer previously reported on funds raised by the raffle.

Catalog Flyers - Marg Baird
Clubs should send their show flyers to Marg Baird at least one month in advance of their show. She will distribute the flyers to the clubs with shows during the upcoming month.

Point Charts - Joe DeLaFranier will produce point charts (Grand Point chart and Regional/National Point chart) for sale by the Region.

Show Entry Raffle – Hope Gonano will be mail each of the show producing clubs a request to donate an entry for their show to the Region. The Region will raffle the entries off in blocks.


Great Lakes Region Award Show for 2006 - Loretta reported that the Award Show will be held the 1st weekend of June beginning in 2006.


Legislative Group – The Regional legislative group is headed by Sue Johnson. We would like to have volunteers in each state. Contact Sue Johnson if you are interested.


Next Meeting

The next meeting will be held in on April 23rd in Erie, Pennsylvania.
