Scheduling - Scheduling has become a major issue in the region and all over the country. For our region, Sandi Douglas has had to go to the CFA Website to find out when clubs are holding their shows. If Clubs want to have their show dates reserved, you need to notify Sandi. We have very few show dates available. The CFA Central Office has requested Loretta to approve changes in show dates that Sandi and Loretta knew nothing about. Clubs had contracts with judges and show halls but Sandi had not been advised.

After a lengthy discussion of the policies for scheduling and reserving show dates, Dwight Vicars made a motion, seconded by Rachel Anger, that:

  1. The Regional Scheduler request show giving clubs to provide their show schedules for the next 18 months.
  2. Clubs should notify the Regional Scheduler of changes at least 90 days prior to the show date. The scheduler will confirm receipt of the change.
Motion passed.

Norman Auspitz made a motion, seconded by Eve Russell, that the master schedule be updated on May 1st of each year.
Motion passed.

Also, it is important that clubs notify the Regional Scheduler and Regional Secretary of changes in the show secretaries and club officers so that information can go out through email.
