HISTORICAL FOOTNOTES
The Dayton Cat Club, a member club of the United Cat Clubs of America, Inc. (formed by Mrs. Gertrude Taylor and others in 1938), held a show on November 16-17, 1935. Note that "Shipped in entries given special attention..."

According to the show report above for Cleveland Cat Fanciers' Club's first show, Double Champion Rosecrest's Little Pal of Smoke Land, a chinalla Persian male, was Best Cat. The ad also notes that he was Best Cat at the December, 1938 Beresford Cat Club show as well. He was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Larry Diebel of Toledo, but was bred by Mrs. Charles Naylor of Alliance.
